After the storm…
The moment my phone caught a full signal, it immediately began going off like crazy. I had so many missed calls, text messages and Facebook notifications. It was unreal. It was amazing to see how many people were praying for my family. It was amazing to see how many people were concerned and wanted to check on my family. It was amazing to see all the people who immediately were wanting to see how they could help my family.
I have been blown away by the outpouring of love we have seen from our family and friends.
People have offered their homes and showers to us when we had no electricity and water, people have offered to bring us dinner or have us over for dinner, people have offered to house our animals, people have offered to watch our children so we could work on the clean-up outside and make all the insurance phone calls. People were (and are still) asking when they could (can) come over and help us clean-up and rebuild fences, goat house, chicken coops and playgrounds.
My husband and I have been in awe by the kind of people we have been surrounded with in our lives. God has truly blessed us with a wonderful community of family and friends. A community that cares about our family. A community that cares about us. A community that brings my family before the throne of God in their prayers.
We don’t even know where to begin with thanking everyone and letting them know how much we appreciate them.
But know this – We are so thankful for your prayers as the tornadoes were passing over and around our house. We are so thankful for all the love and hospitality you have shown us. We are so thankful for – you.
