The widening and deepening of Scripture – grows our understanding of the God who breathed out His Word, directs our worship, and reveals our lack so as to fill up with His fullness. Being immersed in the Word is daily nourishment and it is quenching to souls where dehydration threatens to dry up. Soaking up words as a sponge, our mind and heart become transformed as we become more like Him. Imitators learn from the movement of those they imitate. Scripture reveals the very heart-beat of Him we are to imitate through the working of His Spirit.
